2/15/2010-Join us for the 2010 Iowa Egg Council Cooking Contest!

It’s a day of eggs, cooking, and fun! Join us for the 25th Annual Iowa Egg Council Cooking Egg-stravaganza, Saturday, March 20 at the Des Moines Botanical Center. 

No matter how the eggs are cooked…baked, based, broiled, browned, fried, grilled, poached, roasted, simmered, stewed or toasted…come watch contestants compete for exciting prizes in front of a panel of exceptional judges. 

Besides the competition, there are lots of egg-stras! Free samples, cooking demonstrations by local chef, Cyd Koehn, games and crafts for the kids including yolk painting, egg decorating and coloring contests, and even a visit from the Easter Bunny!  The Iowa Egg Counci’s Cooking Egg-stravaganza is the perfect place to learn about eggs…cooking, decorating, and eating!  Come join us, bring the kids…and stay for the eggs.  It’s all free!
